Application of Conditional Use Permit
NOTICE IS, HEREBY GIVEN: Leola Data Center, LLC has submitted an application for a Conditional Use Permit (24-CUP-04) to the McPherson County Zoning Board of Adjustment for a data mining center in a part of the E1/2 of 28-126N-68W of Spring Township in McPherson County, South Dakota.
The said conditional use permit (24-CUP-04) shall be considered by the McPherson County Zoning Board of Adjustment on Tuesday, December 10th, 2024 at 10:00 AM in the Commissioner’s Chambers in the McPherson County Courthouse located in Leola, South Dakota. At this time and place, any person interested in the approval or rejection of the conditional use permit may appear and be heard.

NOTICE
FLOODED FARMLAND APPLICATION
Applications are available in the Director of Equalization Office for reduction in value on flooded farmland. The flooded agricultural land must be non-farmable during the past three growing seasons. Land that is in CRP or any other program where use is restricted is not eligible for this adjustment.
Applications must include a current FSA map with the flooded acres highlighted on the map. An application is required for each parcel of land. The deadline for submission is November 1, 2024. You must apply each year to receive a water reduction.

McPherson County Property Owners
It is required by McPherson County Zoning Ordinance #10-2 that a building permit is required for any improvements on or to any structure/building in which the market value of the improvements exceeds $3,000 for property in Long Lake, Wetonka, Hillsview and rural McPherson County. If you are a resident of the City of Eureka or the City of Leola, you are required to acquire a building permit from your respective city.
To obtain a building permit, contact the McPherson County Equalization Office. If a building permit is not obtained, a fine will be applied according to Resolution 23-2 which was adopted by the McPherson County Commissioners at the January 3rd, 2023 meeting.
